The American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach lifeguarding courses. This comprehensive program covers a wide range of topics, including water rescue skills, emergency care, and professional rescuer responsibilities. Through interactive lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and scenario-based training, participants will learn how to effectively instruct others in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding curriculum. <h3>Course Description</h3>The course emphasizes teaching methodologies, lesson planning, and classroom management, ensuring that instructors can confidently and effectively deliver lifesaving education. Upon successful completion, participants will receive an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor certification, valid for two years. This certification allows them to teach various lifeguarding courses, including Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, and Waterpark Lifeguarding. <h3>Prerequisites</h3>To enroll in the Lifeguard Instructor course, candidates must meet the following prerequisites: <ul><li>Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 17 years old on or before the last day of the course.</li><li>Current Lifeguarding Certification: Participants must possess a current (non-expired) American Red Cross Lifeguarding (including Deep Water) Certification.</li><li>Lifeguarding Skills: Candidates must complete a prerequisite skill assessment, which evaluates the following:</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Entry</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Swimming approach</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Surface dive in deep water (7 to 10 feet)</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Passive submerged rescue</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Rapid extrication (with an assisting rescuer)</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Rapid assessment</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Single-rescuer CPR (3 minutes)</li></ul> This course is an invaluable resource for individuals seeking to become leaders in aquatic safety and education, ultimately contributing to the safety and well-being of swimmers everywhere

Safety First Training presents the Health and Safety Institute (HSI) CPR and First-Aid Certification, a comprehensive course designed for individuals of all ages. Before the in-person portion of the course, you will be asked to complete 4 hours of online learning. Then, in person it will take approximately 2 hours.
